It’s extremely satisfying to extract oneself from the stream of actions of the world, without worrying about missing out on anything. Missing out is a false belief. There is nothing outside your own experience. Your very own idiosyncrasy is enough.
It’s like the Buddhist philosophy of emptiness. Dare to be idle and still.
Muße – Otium.
It’s not as easy as it seems, doing nothing and doing it well. I enjoy doodling to feel idle and at peace.






Too lazy to be ambitious, I let the world take care of itself. Ten days’ worth of rice in my bag; a bundle of twigs by the fireplace. Why chatter about delusion and enlightenment? Listening to the night rain on my roof, I sit comfortably, with both legs stretched out.
